The closest city to the wedding venue is Montalcino, which is south of Siena and west of Pienza. The small town is situated in the hills of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Val d'Orcia. It is home to the renowned Brunello wine. The stone streets snake through the walled city and lead to shops, cafes, and restaurants.
There are a few sites and landmarks in Montalcino, but if you want more, head to Pienza which is less than 30 minutes from Montalcino.
Pienza is known as the "ideal city of the Renaissance." Pienza is full of charming stores and handcrafted goods- including Pecorino cheese, which was founded in this area. Along with the historically significant architecture, the views are amazing.
Surrounded by woods, vineyards, and olive groves. Antico Convento I Cappuccini is our ideal Tuscan wedding venue. It dates back to the 1400s when it was established by the Capuchin Friars Minor as a place of hermitage and prayer. The complex includes a large main building featuring a magnificent cloister, a charming chapel, a large outdoor swimming pool, and even a small barn transformed into an apartment.
Guests can explore local wineries, historical sites, and the captivating Tuscan countryside, providing a complete and immersive experience. We are so excited to have our friends and family in the Tuscan countryside with us!
